Community

B.Green is somewhere to stop, slow down and enjoy.

For people of all ages to say hello and ask someone how they are and have the time listen and engage over a hot drink in a neutral, friendly space.

In a world where our lives are increasingly frenetic and the media are reporting that more and more people of all age groups suffer from loneliness, the service provided by village shops are becoming more vital as a linchpin for our communities.

It will be a hub for organised activities – woodland walks, book swaps, craft & book groups - aimed at bringing the community to together.

Sustainability

Our aim is to reduce food miles and to use sustainable practices where possible. We are committed to fair trade principles and will endeavour to offer a changing and expanding range to meet our customers needs and requirements.

We aim to reduce waste by offering items without packaging where possible.

Customers are able to choose from everyday items, kitchen basics, fresh fruit & veg, locally produced artisan produce with a focus on organic and free range.

Victoria & Carly

We passionately believe that a shop at the centre of our village will have a huge beneficial impact on all our lives. It offers the opportunity to share the highs and lows of daily life, a meeting point to tell stories over coffee and keep them alive for a new generation, a place for the young, old and everyone in between to check in and enjoy human contact.
